I am seeing on my BA Exec Club app an offer with 40,000 Avios for taking out the BAPP card.
I’m interested as my BAPP clock has reset recently but how do I actually ensure this is legit and I will actually get the bonus.
I don’t want Amex turning around after hitting the target and give me the lower bonus. How will I prove that I have applied under the targeted offer?
Any advice for people who have previous experience?
Just logged into my BAEC and see the same 40k offer (probably in response to the 50k offer from Barclaycard).
If I hadn’t just taken the BC, I would have gone for it, as I’ve never had a BA Amex card before.
As long as you apply directly from the link, I don’t see why you would have any problems with Amex trying to lowball the bonus. May be worth a screenshot of the offer page if you do have issues in future.
Also, after you have been accepted, you can contact the chat to make sure you are going to get the higher bonus, I did that for one of my offers, and they confirmed that I was getting the higher offer.
I have the same offer and have also recently taken the BC, the offer states a date of 2nd Aug to apply so will see if I can ramp up some spend, its probably covered with inflation anyway 🙂
Screenshot everything, but it’s usually fine. This is so frustrating as my 2 year gap isn’t up till September!
Similar offers have run before off ba.com but, yes, screenshot stuff. I am getting a LOT of complaints at the moment from readers who cannot get the right bonus awarded for global promos (eg where it was impossible to apply and get a lower bonus!) so I have little faith in targeted ones ….
