I have OneWOrld Sapphire status via Royal Jordanian Gold Sparrow.
Have a flight with BA tomorrow. Two passengers. Added my Royal Jordanian number to booking. Which seemed to work fine for seat selection.
A few weeks ago I tried to sort the baggage on the booking as it was showing as one bag each instead of two. BA said they would sort it.
Tried to check in today. I have two bags (one bag + one ‘waived’ bag) but the other passenger still only has one.
Contacted BA today and they said just to select ‘Not Sure’ at the baggage section for the other passenger and the two bags would be sorted at airport as my Sapphire status on the booking.
Just to check, has anyone else had this issue? Also, has anyone else selected ‘Not Sure’ during online check in for bags and it all went okay at the airport?
The other option is just to not check in online at all and wait until we get to the airport tomorrow.
What do you think the best approach would be – either check in online and select ‘Not Sure’ at baggage for the second passenger or wait until the airport to check in?

@BrianN you have to check in bags so might as well get to the airport and sort it at checkin. You will be able to check in at busines desks so should not take long.
Yes, BA has frequently shown less luggage than I had, not allowed seat selection when it should etc. Having taken time to read the rules carefully as to what I’m enttled to I have never had a problem at the airport
I’m Not Sure if selecting the number of bags in BA online check in actually does anything.
I’ve put 0 bags and then decided to take a bag after all, and nobody blinked an eye about it.
