Noticed yesterday BA 60 MLE LHR on 23, 24, 25, 28, 29, 30 Dec, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 Jan not for sale anymore on BA.com in any cabin. Oddly BA 61 LHR MLE still showing as for sale on all the above dates.
IT glitch? About to be cancelled? Any insight welcomed. Would an ExpertFlyer subscriber have more info?
Expertflyer is showing some sporatic availability on dates in Jan, so think flights are just very busy! But I had seen mentioned on FT some flights being off sale, I suspect BA may be stop-selling more seats on some routes due to the border force strikes etc
They would be mad to cancel those very full flights at the moment.
‘
as @SamG says they have zeroed out a number of flights TO the UK during the period of the Border Force Strike or slapped a massive price premium on them
The January dates aren’t strike related but more likely to be load related with people returning from their Christmas Holibobs.
I heard that this removal of sale tickets is happening across multiple routes, not just MLE. I don’t think the flights will be cancelled, as that will trigger a deluge of very expensive 261 payouts at such short notice.
They are probably trying to manage loads like they did over the summer..
I’ve seen mentions of some smaller airlines (Widerøe and Skyexpress at least) moving their flights to Luton or Stansted for a few days. I imagine there are efforts between Heathrow & the airlines to avoid any meltdowns over the busy dates

That was done well before the Border Force strikes were announced as part of caps to cope with Christmas traffic.
Thank you all for the helpful replies. De-escalated in my mind!
@SamG I am also very grateful for your advice on TP run few weeks ago. Thankfully I booked a true B2B as the outbound was delayed by an hour, and airport being AMS drastically lessened the stress.
