Historically when do BA usually announce (or when can we expect) the majority of their European summer routes from Gatwick and Heathrow? I’ve had a look back on some HfP articles and can see Gatwick summer 23 was part announced 31st August 22 and the remaining on 25th October 22. Obviously with not having a normal summer schedule for the last couple of years and BA Euroflyer starting up I assume this was much later then normal?
I’m planning a family trip for May or June 24 (not school holidays) the accommodation is already on sale and whilst it’s only Feb 23 now some rooms are booked out 12 months in advance.
The routes I’m interested in are Corfu and Thessaloniki, I prefer to select my travel dates and day of travel around the best flights times. On the whole do the schedules tend to change much from year to year for popular routes like CFU & SKG in particular? Many thanks
I imagine next summer would be quite similar to this summer – being a “normal” summer of travel. But after they’re announced the times can easily change , I had BA Gatwick flights move from morning to afternoon twice this winter. Most hotels are flexible +/- 1 or 2 days usually so could possibly change nearer the time if required
Corfu tends to have a lot more BA flights than Thessalonki (from Heathrow) so that may be the better option in terms of choice
Friday seems to be Corfu day from Heathrow.
