Is it just me?
“We apologise for the inconvenience.
Sorry, we could not continue with Online Check-in as there is a technical problem”.
App and web.
LHR-JFK in the morning. Gold line not answering – experiencing a high volume of calls.
Just want to check BA’s IT is having another quiet lie down and there’s not something uniquely wrong with my booking!
DOA for me as well, flying to Nice suggesting a generic problem.
Ditto for my wife’s flight to Malaga tomorrow
My booking for check in had the same with a reminder that I need to present my Covid docs for destination. GVA to LGW. So that’s more nonsense to throw into the mix
Using a browser and WITHOUT logging in (just booking ref and last name), I could check in on the 4th attempt.
Can’t do the passport chip scan (USA destination) though as that requires the app which still errors 100% of the time.
The fact I was only Seq 30 8 hours after OLCI opened suggests most people are having problems.
Same here, technical error on one page, telling me it can’t confirm my Covid documentation (or something), and now saying online check-in not available for my flight.
I am not too bothered, and realised quite quickly before checking here it was another bug.
But I feel sorry for the less well-informed/first time BA traveller who may be panicking because they can’t check-in and potentially “missing” Covid docs…
I’ll try again in the morning, otherwise will simply go the desk, have bags to drop anyway.
Finally worked at 2310, 6th March
Yup, has worked for me now. They must have given a server a kick somewhere.

It was dropping all kinds of errors yesterday. I’m doing a domestic long weekend, and was starting to wonder if I’d been bumped, as it allowed me to select a seat for the inbound but wouldn’t let me check-in for the outbound this afternoon. As others have said it started behaving again after 23:00ish.
