Sadly the Double Tier point Ts and Cs says

So you can still add them to your existing flight booking, but it won’t qualify for the double points o(.
So we have a booking for 8 days in Lanzarote in January, flying Club and booked as BA holiday. Currently showing 160 tier points. Does this mean that I’m up for 320 in due course? 🙂

Not any longer with the revised T&Cs, car or hotel just has to be for 5 nights, not duration. And it looks like BAH are applying this retrospectively based on the trip I just got DTPs for last March!?

As it turns out that’s what we did in March, although I did not think it qualified (does under the newly revised T&Cs) and we did not connect on the east and west coast outbound/inbound to maximize the TP accrual.
With the bonus TP’s added later, if I book 25/12 – 30/12 will the double TP’s still count towards the reduced amount needed to make status by 31/12. To simplify are the TP’s added retrospectively to the date of the flight taken?

Yes, that is how it should happen and with the ‘new system’ appears to be the way it is (based on my account) but the ones I manually claimed (and now have Triple TPs for that trip) were credited to the date that BAEC added them.

I’ve just had my tier points added also with no reply to the emails. I have had the bonus avios awarded as well.
Did the bonus Avios also get delayed or came immediately? If delayed, how did you get them awarded?

When did the double tier points offer, now extended, actually start? I had a BA holiday 7th – 14 in Lanzarote. Did that scrape in? I haven’t seen any points bonus so I guess not?

Hi, Anna – no, just the direct BA flights in either direction…
It wouldn’t surprise me if the IT isn’t set up to include open jaw bookings in the offer! Are you trying “flight plus hotel/car” or “customise my trip”? Sometimes they give you different results.

Welcome to HfP. The bonus TP are supposed to be backdated to the actual dates of the flights but BA being BA anything is possible. They post after the event so if your aim is to take advantage of the double TP to achieve or retain status using the lower thresholds you really need to make sure your return flight is on or before 31 Dec 2022. But I wouldn’t leave it that late as you need the TP to post by 31 Dec 2022 so I’d book to come back around 10 days before 31 Dec. This assumes that your TP year end date isn’t 8 Dec, if it is then you need to fly home by that date unless you can earn the required number between 9 and 31 Dec.
Has anyone had any joy pricing an open-jaw BA hols trip that still triggers the “this
entitles you to double tier points” message?!When double tier points post for people are they coming in two lots (ie one for each way) or combined? My holiday to Catania had 80TPs post a couple of days after the return, but the other 80TPs haven’t posted yet (almost 3 weeks later).
@Niall – same problem with an August Azores holiday here. Outbound bonus TPs posted in a few days, no sign of inbound after a month. I emailed, BAH agent just checked normal TPs (but to her credit did find bonus Avios that hadn’t been awarded for a Madeira trip in March). I’ve replied yesterday, asking for the bonus TPs.
I’ve had flights LHR-IST and a car (6 nights). BA informed me that it will take two weeks to process bonus TP (i.e. two weeks from the day after the inbound flight). This means that it should be processed by Tuesday 11th Oct. Let’s see.
Has anyone ever managed to price up a trip with economy UK connections and business for the european leg on the BA site on a single ticket or am I on a hiding to nothing and have to risk misconnects?
No option on the various BA search pages that I’ve found will allow me to select a different class for the domestic legs.
Does this offer work if you do miles for upgrade too? Thanks
I’m pretty sure the Double Tier Points offer on flight and hotel/car hire works with just a solo traveller but can someone confirm please?
