Hi, have a cruise booked in feb 2023, originally from bali to hong kong. However the hong kong leg was cancelled a while ago and now ends in Thailand.
I had booked flights separately in CW with BA, with flight from LHR to Singapore and then back form Hong Kong.
cruise company gave a decent discount for missed leg.
But wondering in anyone had any ideas about the HK to LHR flight, e.g. was booked on lowest fare so no cancellation etc. Is there anything i could do ?
BA said i could cancel and get the taxes back but the LHR to SIN leg would go up by £600 and refund was £300. alternatively dont turn up for the HK flight and maybe claim tax back after?
i know i could fly from BKK to HK and get the flights but not my preference at this point!
thanks
Taxes likely to be very low out of HK so I don’t think you’d get much of a refund
Considering it’s a CW flight personally I’d fly back to HK and take it. There are no restrictions entering or moving around anymore or plot in a long layover. Cathay Pacific will check your bags to BA
Otherwise have you asked about changing to fly out of BKK? They should be able to price up QR flights
