Not sure if I am getting my BA Holidays and BA flights mixed up, but I thought one could get a cancellation for the latter if within 24 hours of the booking….?
BA Holiday cancellation at short notice will incur substantial cancellation fees on a sliding scale.
BA Avios bookings can be cancelled at least 24 hours prior to travel for the standard cancellation fee and return of Avios/vouchers.
BA cash booking refunds will depend on the fare type purchased.
I think JDB has answered the question implied by the subject, which I also misinterpreted at first.
Yes you can cancel a flight only booking within the first 24 hours of making it, but you may have to ring up.
To clarify re BA Hols
There is NO cooling off period for online bookings. There is for phone bookings (24 hours)
Cancel before the balance is due and you lose the deposit.
Cancelling after the balance has been paid depends on when you cancel. The deadlings and % loss are displayed as part of the booking process before you pay so check wisely.
