BA cancelled my Avios booking to Tokyo. Like other cancelled avios bookings, I had previously rebooked as a commercial ticket on my new chosen dates up to 355 days in advance. I just rang up BA customer services as I wish to rebook my Tokyo booking to next year (355 days away) and have just been told that they now only allow rebookings for 3 days before original departure date to 14 days after? “policy change” she said, I asked her when and where this is, said its internal. We have held on for months to rebook this booking, after been specifically told that we could do this, as they cancelled it. now been told completely different. SUrely this is not correct?
As mentioned by other posters on your other posting of your question this exact issue has been covered a number of times even in the short time of life of this Forum.
I suggest you click Forum at top left. ( Don’t click Recent Topics).
If you then look down the Forum Index/Table of Contents. Go down past the Airline, Card and Hotel categories. You will find a heading about Flight Cancellations. There are several topics in there with the answers and steps for you to take.
We used to also advise people to look back on some of the recent Daily Chat threads that HfP ran pre-Forum, as this was also covered every 2nd day or so there, But now enough people have asked this in the Forum you’ll find the answers and your options easy to find there.
Hello Lady London, sorry, new to posting. I did repost this in flight cancellations. I am looking through the past threads and struggling to see other postings on experiences relating to BA’s recent change of policy – now not offering bookings up to 355 from date of travel. I will keep looking. TIA
