Not just me then! Had many issues! I go through the site still, but it’s 50/50. Don’t bother claiming now. Always gets rejected.

Just thought I’d share my experiences of the BA Shopping Portal. I’ve had a few scraps of Avios come through from in-store shopping via my registered cards. They post at various speeds, usually slow. Most recently:
17/07/2024 – Visited a PAUL cafe in London Avios Posted 26/09/2024 – email received
31/07/2024 – Harvey Nichols 5th floor Cafe Avios Posted 05/08/2024 – no email
31/07/2024 – Harvey Nichols 5th floor Deli Avios posted 26/09/2024 – no email
All transactions with my Amex Platinum card. The HN £50 credit posted on 8th and 12th August 2024.
The speed of processing is all over the place. The usual BA IT quality!!

An insurance policy owes me 9400 Avios (it’s 68 days past the “maximum” half year timeframe they generously give themselves).

Missing Avios form didn’t work. Live chat submitted. “Expect a response anywhere between 30 and 90 days”.

Emailed Avios Customer Relations this morning and they said “you have directed your enquiry to the incorrect department, contact BA [this is obvs wrong], we will be unable to respond to further enquiries”

I mean – what the actual hell?

To resurrect an old thread, I’ve just had 348 avios credited for a stay at “Hilton” this morning.

I haven’t used the estore in years and the new super friendly customer focussed website doesn’t show the click/transaction date, just todays date. The value doesn’t match any Hilton stay I’ve had with or without tax or any multiple of.

I noticed that Hilton had reappeared when I was on the new Avios site yesterday.

Annoyingly I couldn’t find the list of recent transactions that showed the tracking number as if something now doesn’t go to pending I’m not sure how to prove it other than taking a screenshot of the successful tracking confirmation screen when it appears.

Yes they removed that due to customer feedback

Same with me, Hilton credit popped up today. I haven’t stayed at a Hilton for months and my use if the e-store tailed off long ago due to failed tracking

Had a funny one where I was credited with Avios for buying running shoes at ASICS, despite not clicking through from the e-store.

Also had an annoying one – I bought some running gear and trainers from Adidas around Christmas to take advantage of an Amex cashback offer. I was recently contacted to advise that Adidas had miscalculated the price, and that I would be getting an extra 20 Avios; this would show as a removal of the 800 Avios I’d been credited in December, and a credit of 820, the new correct amount.

However, the reversal of the 800 Avios has also meant the 400 Avios bonus has been reversed, leaving me down 380 Avios!

I’m probably just going to leave it due to the ASICS transaction, would be quite annoying otherwise!

Also got 800+ avios for an Hilton stay today! lol
have no idea what stay it refers to (and can’t be bothered to try and found out)

I’ve had 4 added to my balance today, all Hilton ones that I can’t find on my own list nor match amounts of any I am awaiting. I’m happy to accept them as compensation for all the time wasted chasing previous Hilton claims.

It’s hugely annoying, I used to locate everything via the click ID and purchase ID, now it is even more of a guessing game.

Doesnt make up for the 2700 avios they owe me for the stay at the Hilton in SF. The excuse was that I didn’t stay there. Even though I provided the folio and screenshots of my hilton account they wouldn’t budge.

Escalate it to Adam Daniels office, worked for me, circa 11k of declined Avios bookings Q3 last year credited manually.

Trying to claim for missing transactions or those stuck on “pending” is equally frustrating. A dropdown menu which either doesn’t have the transaction in question or won’t let me select the one I want. It then returns a “computer says no” message and you can proceed no further…

I’m owed about 30,000 avios from Booking.com bookings that they’ve either rejected or they haven’t pulled through. I’ve had missing avios tickets open for months – no response.

May 2024 I did not get the 2500 avios for insurance I took out. I then appealed and they asked me to send the screenshot of the insurance but I forgot to do this. Then last month (8 months later) they emailed to remind me to send the evidence which I did and last week got the 2500 avios…couldn’t believe they chased me up for a change…assumed they had to close the outstanding case…

That’s weird, booking.com is one of those, which works best. Do you see points as pending?

same here found majority of my last 2 years transactions on estore failed to register on their end. the missing claim form is annoying and in the end started to use other cashback websites as I found it a nuisance.

bought a large wardrobe and did a missing transaction and the person stated because the whole wardrobe was broken down with individual pieces of the wardrobe which amounted to some pieces being more than 3 in quantity on the receipt that it would be rejected. also waiting 7 days before you can put in a claim leads to me forgetting so I don’t tend to bother use discounted Giftcards to pay for items.

normally used it for John Lewis purchases but the points on offer is really poor now.

I had the same issue with John Lewis. Bought some furniture as a set spending a lot of money and they declined because the items went through as 4 items.

Some of the avios due from previously rejected Hilton bookings have now mysteriously been credited
