Okay I know BA don’t have the best reputation for good IT but what on earth is going on with the BA app?
It’s basically been unusable for me and many others for about two weeks now.
Everytime I open thr app it just closes immediately for me. The Google play reviews say the thing for do many others leaving almost identical one star reviews. It’s a disgrace.
Has anyone heard if BA are actually trying to fix this issue? Still no update in the play store.

Which version of the app are you using? Been a bug in android v4.87 that just closes it when you tried to open it. New version 4.88 seems more stable (although it now shows the new BA Club cards rather than BAEC cards.
It didn’t appear in the list of available updates automatically for me, but when I searched for BA app in the store it gave me an update.
Hi version is 4.871. Unfortunately no 4.88 there. Uninstalled and reinstalled but still 4.871.
It’s maybe taking a while to roll out to all phone platforms/android versions. Presume you’re on Android 14?

I’ve had this same issue for a week or so. App would suddenly close, app not showing upcoming flights, not able to show account page etc.
Today I cleared Storage and Cache from the app in Android. Then I relaunched the app and had to login again. It has been stable since then.

Same issue for me on IOS following update today. Has anyone found a way to resolve? In particular unable to use the reward flight availability search – app will crash as soon as I search
Having the exact same issue as cooks19. Deeply frustrating but at least relieved to know it’s not just me.
