I see the BA website has now become much more vague on this issue. When the changes were first announced in December it said that members could earn up to 2500 Tier Points by using the BA Amex Premium Plus Card, but that more details would be announced in advance of 1 April. It now just says “Also in 2025, British Airways American Express Premium Plus cardholders will have the opportunity to earn even more Tier Points by spending on their card.”

This could mean that they just offer some more temporary promotions as they did last year rather than some permanent arrangement where, for example, members earn 1 TP per £ spent.

BA seems to be continuing to make it up as they go along and are making it more vague as it gets closer to 1 April.

    Has the wording actually changed?

It still says “In 2025, British Airways American Express® Premium Plus Cardmembers will be able to earn up to 2,500 Tier Points by spending on their card. More details of this offer will be announced closer to the launch date.”

The timing is left suitably ambiguous as it could refer to the launch of earning TP from card spend. There will be some awkward conversations with Amex.

You’re right – apologies -it is still there on the main page. The wording is more vague on the FAQ page however – I don’t have a screenshot of previous wording there but I think it also mentioned 2,500 and the launch date. In any event they don’t have much time left if “launch date” means 1 April…

The US site has different wording, leading some to think that US members will be able to earn unlimited tier points from credit cards (as AA already allows) whilst UK members will be shafted (and members in countries with no credit card are totally shafted).
