I booked BA505 a few days ago, which is Faro – LHR, on 26 April at 15.00, using Avios. Just had a look to see what the cash price was and I can’t find that flight. Have I unknowingly happened upon an Avios only flight? I (now) know there is one going that day but according to Rob’s article publicising it, that flight was at 11.55, though of course it might have been retimed….
Should anyone else be wondering, I can confirm that BA505 is indeed the Avios only flight. It must have been retimed. I struck lucky there given it has been on sale since last July, as there’s no other availability that weekend for a couple using Avios.
