Hi
searching LGW to BKK (and reverse) for avios booking and get the following every tine “Error
There was a problem with your request, please try again later.”
all other routes work whether availability or not, also checked seatspy for available dates
tried different browsers, different PCs, the app, incognito mode, different internet connections and also cleared cookies
if my brother searches the same on same PC it works OK for him from his account
I did book a LGW-BKK flight last night so no idea of that’s related
Any ideas? Thanks
I have a similar issue for Avios flights LHR to HKG. Other destinations work fine (have tried a few – BDA, JFK, BHD) but HKG throws the error :
“Error
There was a problem with your request, please try again later.”
This happened a few weeks ago and I was still able to get to the flights via the “Reward Flight Finder” – but now this route also gives the same error when you try to go to the available flights.
I can see that the flights are there as when I select to use my Amex 241 it displays the flights correctly, but I just want to book the standard tickets and not use my 241 as it expires in Sept 25 and I am trying to book March 26.
I wonder if there are any other work arounds to get to the flights? Is there a URL that will take me to the old style Avios website? (like this one that takes you to the old style cash booking https://www.britishairways.com/travel/fx/public/en_GB )
In summary the BA webs*ite seems to be in a particularly poor state this week, with lots of failed bookings (cash and avios), blank pages, silly messages (We do not fly from London!!!) and general web server fails.
Would be good if there is a workaround, I need to book the return flight soon
I used a voucher last night and all worked fine, now I don’t have one and have the issue so may be similar to your problem
I had the same issue last week – it’s on another forum …was for HKG , had to book over the phone in the end

Thanks, could do without the hassle of that, hopefully it sorts itself
Did you have to ring the US to book? Is it resolved now for you?
its the same issue as last week.it was resolved but is now broken again…BA Useless IT

Suppose that at least gives me some hope
Yes I have had this for the past few days – still failing 0525hrs!
@rotty – no doesn’t work for me or my wife tried last night and kept error , will try again today
Called to book through the gold line , was U.K. agent
@hugo r did you call the US Gold line at midnight GMT? There are reports in the other thread of the US line being closed at midnight GMT.
Had someone else check and it’s definitely related to the vouchers, use a voucher it works, untick it doesn’t
They really need to sort this
Also I don’t have access to the gold line and if US aren’t doing bookings I’m stuffed
hi it was the uk gold line number and uk agent… I have just tried now for HKG and its working ( tried the same dates which were not working last night ) .. very flakey
