Austrian family hotels in Summer

Hi all

I was wondering if anyone has any first hand experience of Austrian family hotels/Kinderhotels that they’d recommend for a summer holiday? Our 2 kids will be 5 and 18 months.

I know Rob speaks highly of Ellmauhof in the ski season. Has anyone been there or elsewhere in the summer?

Tchibo.de and .at used to have a holidays section with many, many hotel deals with truthful descriptions, a lot of info and including a lot of such hotels.

Never been at Ellmauhof in Summer. They’ve just built a huge new stables and indoor riding hall though.

I STRONGLY recommend Cavillino Bianco in Italy if you have little kids.

Thurnhers Alpenhof is good for families, although much of the family focus is on skiing. Very comfortable hotel with excellent food in a fairly small village.
