Last year I had 19 nights rolled over from 2023. Therefore I needed 41 nights stay in 2024 to retain my Diamond status for 2025. I actually stayed 97 nights. My calculation is that 41 of these are used with the 19 Rollover nights to make 60 and hence retain Diamond status for 2025. That would then leave 56 nights to be rolled over. However Hilton have only given me 37 nights rolled over having deducted the 19 nights I had previously rolled over. This seems like I am being penalised for my loyalty because I stayed more nights than required to retain Diamond status. If I had only stayed 41 nights in 2024 I would have retained Diamond status and had the full benefit of rolling the 19 nights forward. As I was loyal to Hilton by staying 56 more nights than required I can’t understand why I haven’t been given 56 nights rolled over.
Does anyone agree with my interpretation?
You can’t benefit from the rollover nights twice.
The way to think of it is if you have x number rollover nights from the previous year, and you reach 60 nights, then you have -x rollover nights for the next year.
In your case, having 19 nights rolled over, you would need 80 nights to start receiving any rollover nights for the next year. Therefore, with you staying 97 nights, you should receive/have received 17 rollover nights.
Worst part of all that is I think (and I might be wrong as Ican’t remember the exact terms for status gifting) that if you stayed three more nights in the year you could have gifted Diamond status to someone. But, you’ll at least be able to gift Gold status.
