Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Any way to consolidate evouchers?

  • 73 posts

    Hi all

I have 6 evouchers of varying denominations that I’d like to consolidate somehow to get around the max 4 evouchers per booking rule.

I was planning to use them to book a flight+hotel deal for my wife and I – which means I will have to do this over the phone – perhaps an alternative is I can ask the BA rep to book this for me using 6 vouchers?

Not sure if it’s 3 evouchers per booking or 3 per person.

I think I might tidy it up a bit by making 2 bookings with 3 vouchers each, while I can, cancel each and hope each comes back as a combined voucher.

I just made a booking and it said i could only use one e-voucher per booking which was really annoying. I have multiple and had hoped to use them a couple in the same booking. Ended up paying the rest by Amex but one to look into, let me know if you are able to add multiple to the same booking- im sure you could before!

p.s did not bother calling as dont have a spare hour to give getting through but im sure they would use them that way

I thought ot was 3 per booking but if it’s 4 then thats good to know.

If these are proper e-vouchers (with numbers starting 125-4 that you can use on line) then yes you can consolidate them by making a flight only booking and then canceling for an FTV

I previously had 3 e-vouchers and then applied them to one booking. As the voucher value was more than the fare I was given the change as another voucher. Cancelling the flight for a further e-voucher meant I now had 2 e-vouchers rather than 3

Of course if your dummy flight cost more than the vouchers you’d be adding more cash but cancelling that booking would get you a single e-voucher back.

I have applied 2 e-vouchers to Holiday bookings. I made the holiday booking online (easier to do than phoning as less error prone) and paid the deposit then emailed BA Holidays saying “please apply these vouchers (gave numbers and value) to this booking”

It’s easier for them to do it offline as they need to go back into the history of the vouchers to get the values and do other things in theor system which takes time and theres no need to be on the phone for that. Have not had an e-voucher refused by BA Hols.

I’ve not tried this but could you consolidate them yourself, use four to make a booking you then cancel to get one?

Hi Charles – yeah I might try this.

Would I cancel the booking online in this case? and the evoucher is sent back to me automatically?

Now reading on BA site that e-vouchers can’t be used on Holidays bookings. Where as previously you could use them on Holiday bookings. I have almost given up on BA now.

Place the Holiday booking and pay only the deposit. Then email the holidays team to apply the voucher, has worked for many people on here.e
