Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Any Point Linking PNR codes?

  • 7 posts

Myself and my wife are both gold and are travelling with 3 other members of the family with no status on same flights – but they have a different PNR.
Is there any advantage in linking the two PNRs together?
EG – All use First Wing for Check in – or anything else?
    Thanks

Not sure about the rest, but I think you might all be able to get free seat selection for all of you if you call BA?

If the family aren’t in business class, you and your wife can obviously guest one each into the lounges! They could maybe take turns 🤷‍♀️

“Linking” PNR’s is impossible. It cannot be done. When agents/passengers refer to this it means that a note is placed in the system that pax are travelling together. Ground/cabin crew may read this, may not.

You can always request it, but in terms of seat guarantees it is not the same as 2 pax travelling on the same PNR. Amd therefore booked in the same reservation.

Wouldn’t linking mean you’d all be rescheduled / rerouted together on case of disruption?

Possibly, but not necessarily and it’s definitely not something to rely upon. The TCP note in a booking would usually only come into play when there is some human intervention in a booking e.g. seating adjustment.

If the other 3 are in the same cabin as you then call BA and ask them “to complete party” and this would get them seats (free) alongside you.

But this doesn’t give them any of your benefits such as extra baggage allowance.

If there were only two of them then they could have checked in at the F wing with you and gone into the F lounge.

But with 3 only two would be able to get into the F lounge. Very unlikely they would allow a 3rd guest.

But if all in business class then you can all go to the club lounge. I assume you wouldn’t want to desert one of your friends. Trying to swap them in and out isn’t the way to go.
