We`re planning our honeymoon – does anyone have experience of the You and Me Cocoon or Oblu Sangeli please?
We stayed at Oblu Sengeli for a week last November (following a week at Fushifaru).
We had an overwater villa which was great. There is a decent reef if you want to go snorkelling and you will see plenty of sharks, the night snorkelling is particularly good fun.
I also went out on one of the Manta swimming trips which is truly a once in a lifetime experience. It’s not like the program on the TV at the weekend where Steve Backshall is diving with them. But you do get pretty close, but it is all over very quickly, then you go back to the boat, the spotter looks for them and off you go again.
The restaurants are quite busy, but not at a level that is uncomfortable. The quality of food is pretty good-we went all inclusive. The transfer was efficient.
We only used the one complimentary spa treatment which was OK.
It was a change from Fushifaru which is much smaller, and has less good snorkelling. But dining on the sand outdoors in the evening is heavenly!
