I have recently taken BA PP card. Even though I have already spent close to 7K on the card, I still haven’t seen any half decent Amex offers on my account.
Does anyone know if there are ever any decent offers on BA PP card OR these are only for Amex own branded cards?
Currently Amex is running 20% off dining offer but it is not there on my BA PP card.
Hence wanted to check what others think about it.
I’m sure there will be a range of views on this, as it will depend on where you typically shop/travel/etc., but we find the offers on BAPP are generally few in number and not very useful.
The only offers I really use are the cash back on hotel stays (IHG, Marriott, Hilton and assorted others) which appear about twice a year. They are well worth it and easily cancel out the BAPP fee.
I’ve made greater savings on the free ARC vs the BAPP in the past few months.
Obviously my circumstances will differ from yours.
I’ve also had better offers on the ARCC recently than the ones on the BAPP. 10% cashback on Expedia has been very useful for an upcoming trip. Hotels.com bookings cancelled and rebooked with Expedia.
I had a fiver back from Co-op for paying my council tax, and I’ve got £5 back on a £40 shop in Tesco.
Not had anything useful on the BAPP since last September
I’ve also had Waitrose cashback from Lloyds/Halifax, and Morrisons offers from NatWest and Barclays.
Thanks all.
So basically effectively BA PP card is mainly for collecting 2-4-1 and higher Avios collection rates.
For other day to day offers, better to stick to Amex own branded cards.
I should have probably added that they only Amex we currently have is OH’s BAPP (and supp), as I’m on a total 2 year break and OH is on the break from Platinum! Both re-set this summer.
My BAPP (now downgraded) got all of the main Amex offers, with only the MR and non-BA airline offers being exclusive to my Gold card. Once I downgraded to the free card, it didn’t seem to change the offers I was seeing.
You won’t be getting any flight deals, obviously!

Sorry, unsure what ARCC is?
america express reward credit card, the free MR points earning card. I find I got better low end offers from the cards with no or cheaper annual fee due to their target market.

Are there any flight offers on BAPP other than 2-4-1 voucher?
I would be hitting my target spend by April and will wait for Platinum promo to return for bonus memebership points. Really undecided whether to keep BA PP OR move to Platinum once I have hit the companion voucher due to lack of any meaningful offers on BA PP.
