Forums Hotel loyalty schemes Hilton Honors Another brand – Spark by Hilton

Hilton have announced another brand, Spark by Hilton. It’s a “conversion-only” “premium economy brand”. In the FAQ they say “we anticipate that Spark by Hilton will begin in the U.S. where we believe we can quickly scale up” so could be US-only initially.

I can’t keep up! Motto has barely got up and running and Canopy has yet to make itself clear to me what it is trying to be other than an Indigo with higher prices.

What will the cost ratio of breakfast to daily credit be at this one?!

Canopy is a brand where you have a canopy over the bed. It’s more classic design for those who don’t like the mish-mash design of Indigo hotels (which are similar to W). At least that’s my interpretation.

As per other blogs: “Spark by Hilton will help add value to the guest experience by offering a simple, complimentary breakfast, featuring premium coffee, juice and a signature bagel bar with spreads, so guests can fuel up before hitting the road. The brand will also offer a 24-hour retail market for on-the-go travelers.”

So a posher version of Hampton by Hilton.

They say “…before you hit the road.” sounds like they are aiming at the motel market in the US.

The funniest brand launch of recent years for me was EVEN by IHG who sought to target the fitness conscious solo lady traveller by placing gym equipment in rooms. Thus making said rooms a nightmare for anyone travelling with a toddler.

If theyre giving you a whole bagel, that probably represents more than the daily credit would get you for breakfast at other US (and canadian niagara falls!) hiltons 😀

Trying to pass a ‘bagel bar’ off as breakfast is an insult to breakfasts tho lol

Not really. Here’s the hi-res image from the Hilton press office:-

So, it’s coffee, orange juice, bagels, Philadelphia, jams, spreads, yoghurt.

(Note the really worn cupboard doors, and filthy kickboards for the press photo!)

“Craving something else, Head to our market in the lobby for a selection of Breakfast Favourites”

So if you look carefully in the freezer, you can buy a microwaveable breakfast bowl.
