Westfield spend £100, get £10 back until 01/12. Available at both London Westfields and what seems to be every shop – M&S and John Lewis are good gift card options. Can also stack with the Hyatt offer in Stratford.

Bit confused with the wording, do you think this is cumulative? i.e. it’ll trigger if you spend £25 each across 4 shops?

Are there any recent Radisson offers on any of the cards?

I can see there’s Hilton, IHG, Marriott.

Yes, there was a spend £250 get £50 back offer, which expires 20th December. I have this on my BAPP. Think it was around 4 weeks ago so you must have missed it.

I ended up having to file a complaint last time they ran this offer, having spend just over £100 at a few of the included retailers. Amex CX repeatedly insisted it had to be in one transaction, despite me quoting ‘one or more transactions up to £100+’ to them. Even escalating did nothing. The complaint was eventually settled with the £10 as a ‘goodwill gesture’ – so keep your receipts!

Why would you need the receipts when the transactions are listed on your account?

Sometimes they ask you to supply a receipt, this is the case if merchant has several points of sale and the payment might have gone through a different machine. This happens a lot when machines get shared between outlets. Had this numerous times with Amex.

If you have the “Spend £50 and get £5 at Tesco” and decide to buy a gift card, please don’t be a mug such as myself and redeem it in the store!

I bought an Apple Gift card in the morning but was in a rush, so didn’t get a chance to redeem it until the evening. Got a “Code is not valid” error and now Apple and Tesco are blaming each other.

I guess I can dispute the charge on the basis I’ve been sold a gift card that doesn’t work?

Don’t have to redeem instore but need to check the gift card receipt/Till spit says “Activated” on it.

If you have it and it says not activated Tesco should replace it.

It says it is activated. The store manager refused to refund it, she said it’s out of their hands once I bought it and it’s Apple’s fault. Apple says the receipt is showing a different serial number from the one on the card, so seems to be Tesco’s fault.

Peter Jones address is Sloan Square. As is “Rag & Bone” which is included. Harvey Nichols address is Knightsbridge not Sloan Street, but is also included.

That’s really odd as it should take it from the barcode.

Either it’s a bit of a flamingo up, or I suspect you’ve been subject to a “peel and reseal” gift card scam. Where someone has stolen the gift card, carefully opened the packaging, taken the original gift card out put a different one in, and puts it back on the shelf. Waiting for a victim to load it up whilst checking the balance regularly for loadings.

    Yup that’s really odd.

Did you keep all the packaging? Any signs of a scam? Is the barcode you scanned different?

Yes, do still have all the packaging. It doesn’t seem to have been tampered with.

Looks like the code that Tesco printed out on the activation receipt is on the card envelope, not inside on the actual card. They both look very similar but they have a few different digits.

Apple says the receipt should match the serial number on the card, not the envelope.

I had exactly the same recently, Apple GC at Morrisons.
Outer packaging serial number did not match inner GC slip. After being passed round the houses (as you have been @optimus-prime) it was resolved by Apple Support. Hold onto till receipts, outer and inner as you will need to send them photos.
Essentially your GC credit has been loaded to a gift card elsewhere. There is a batch of cards out there where inner and outer codes are mismatched.
Apple will give a goodwill payment for the hassle, if pushed.

Yes, keeping originals and pictures of everything.
