The 30,000 points is something to do with accepting cookies or something. They’ve bumped up to 30,000 from 20,000 points until 19 July 2022. I don’t think the card itself has changed.

    The full terms:
“The 30,000 Membership Rewards bonus points will be awarded onto your Account if you are a new customer and you have applied after midnight GMT 8 June and before 11:59pm GMT 19 July and once you have been approved and you have spent and charged £3,000 within the first three months of Cardmembership. Cardmembership begins from Card approval. Please note that it can take up to one month for bonus points to be awarded to your Account.”

My referral says you can get 32,000 points if you spend £3,000 in three months, so referral links give you 2,000 points on top.

If looking to maximise Avios, Robs article mentioned doing Marriott, then Platinum, then BA PP.

As Gold rewards now has the same welcome bonus of 30k is it worth instead of doing platinum you do gold rewards as lower annual fee.

Can’t recall if they’re in the same “family”

I think having the Marriott card disqualify you from the bonus for Gold card. You need to check the rules.

It most certainly does. Only Platinum and BAPP have slightly different rules, all other cards have sign up bonus disallowed if held ANY personal Amex in last 24 months.
