The PP card and its booklet came exactly 10 days after I got the Gold card. I opened an account last month as well.

I had to call up as my PP did not come after a few weeks. They told me they would resend the letter and gave me the activation code by phone (same one as you’d get via post), so assume you can just call up to get it as soon as you have the Amex card.

Yes, that’s correct. We did it one time, when l changed my plat card supp to daughter and bf doing an Asia trip. Card came, and she was leaving next day. Phoned in and got the virtual card app, l think. She could use it from the next day. Invaluable, as she had the plat in hand too for any Amex lounges.
