What’s the easiest way to get American Airlines miles apart from buying it flying with them?
I have 180K amex 100K Agios and 220K Virgin but I can’t seem to find a way to get any of these to American?
In the UK, very limited. For direct earning to keep an AA stash alive you’re limited to daft surveys on E-rewards.
You could send 180k Amex to 270k Marriot (3:2) and then convert 60k at a time from Marriot to AA at 3:1 and for every 60k you get a 5k bonus = 25k American

For ME:Bonvoy transfers it’s 2:3 isn’t it? So to hit the bonus
40k MR -> 60k Bonvoy —> 25k AA
You’d be wanting some chunky value off your AA miles for that to be worthwhile.

Sorry late night typo, yes 2:3. Numbers were right, ratio wasnt.
It can be worth it. Pre pandemic I built a stash of AA and booked a 55k AA miles Qatar Qsuite redemption with almost no tax from Man-doh-cpt unfortunately cancelled and they’re back in my account.
You can of course fly with BA or any other One World carrier, and credit your miles to AA.
