Ambassador benefits are applicable to IC stays booked using credit card free night vouchers (or points), arent they?
If a hotel refused upgrade and also late checkout, is that 2x10k pts theyd be supposed to give or does the 1 lot of 10k pts cover everything?

– 16. On IHG® Rewards Reward Nights and Free Nights, the guaranteed upgrade benefit is not applicable and is subject to availability. Refer to IHG® Rewards terms & conditions.
However, according to section 32, this does NOT apply to the Complimentary Weekend Night benefit
– 32. All member benefits apply when using the complimentary weekend night only at InterContinental Hotels & Resorts and participating Regent Hotels & Resorts.
The guaranteed benefit compensation table has separate lines for the upgrade and late checkout benefits, both showing 10,000 pts or USD50 credit as options.
So I assume you in the scenario of benefit refusal you describe, you’dd be due 2 x 10,000 pts compensation if it was a Complimentary Weekend Night booking but only 10k if a credit card or rewards ‘Free’ night.- This reply was modified 55 years, 4 months ago by .
These are the creation free nights so it looks like the upgrade wont apply, kinda suprised that IHG treat them differently considering amb is a paid thing!
