Forums Payment cards Other payment cards Airtime Rewards & Curve

  • 313 posts

Hi folks – have others managed to get Airtime Rewards and Curve to work together? 🤔

I can add Curve to the app, but nothing tracks (have also added the underlying card just in case – but still nothing)

I could understand why it wouldn’t work, but interested if it does work

It works but I did add it a long time ago. From what I can see, my items track but take a good few weeks to pay out

I have only used Curve a few times last November with Airtime Rewards and both times the purchase tracked okay for me. You can report missing transactions within the Airtime Rewards app.

Certainly has worked fine in the past.

It works however as Curve runs its own rewards program there is the possibility for clashes instead of double dipping

Thanks. I’ll give it a few more days and see if it tracks

I have double dipped on curve rewards and airtime.

Transactions take the same length of time to pay out no matter which card is used.

My experience is that it works with some retailers but not all of them. I think it works with Boots, but from reports by others here doesn’t work at Morrisons. (probably about to get shouted down by people who it did work for but good data points none the less).

    BUMP

Really struggling with Airtime Rewards. Works fine with all my other cards, but none of my Curve transactions track. To be fair to Airtime Rewards, whenever I’ve made a retrospective claim, they’ve always been paid out after a few days

    Any other recent experiences?

Lots of people report problems with AR tracking at the moment, not just curve. In the last month I’ve had Boots and O2 fail to track.

Airtime Rewards does work with Curve. When a card I linked didn’t track, Customer Services at Airtime told be to delete card, wait 24 hours and then add it again. Tracked fine after that.

Ah ok, my Boots transactions tracking ok with Capital on Tap, but not with Curve. No problem getting retro credit, just a bit of a faff…

This was a reply from their support to a failed tracking: “We can see that you have used a Curve card to make this transaction, and unfortunately these are not supported by the app. If this card has tracked transactions previously, this has been in error.”

Absolute nonsense. My Curve card tracks perfectly fine. As I said earlier…delete card, wait 24 hours and then relink.

    Curve working perfectly for me.
It’s my nationwide visa that never seems to track so suspect it’s dodgy underlying tech on the airtime rewards side.

The one time I did not have a purchase track in Airtime Rewards when paying with Curve was when the underlying card was not added in Airtime Rewards. I believe Airtime Rewards track the purchases on the underlying card and not the Curve card.

Not so. I have funded various correctly-tracked Curve / Airtime transactions with Paypal

FWIW, removing and adding my Curve card has helped with tracking, and I haven’t had any missed transactions in the month since I did this

Just bear in mind if you remove and add a card, that you can’t retrospectively claim for missed transactions from before you removed the card, even though it’s exactly the same card number (and you also need a 14 day cooling off period before you can claim for a missed transaction). So effectively you lose 14 days of tracking

    Update…

…none of my Curve transactions have tracked in the last month, and it looks like the exclusions on virtually all of its retailers now include Curve

Anyone else had any Curve transactions track in the last few weeks?

All my Curve transactions have tracked as normal on Airtime Rewards over the past few weeks…Argos, Boots and Sainsbury’s Gift cards

Resurrecting an older thread…….noticed today that the Ts and Cs listed in each retailer description on Airtime Rewards now have a list of excluded payment options than include Curve and pre-paid cards…….(obviously
) I didn’t check every single retailer but went through quite a few high street names and more niche retailers and all the ones I looked at now had a more extensive list of exclusions than previously, so you might want to check if you were planning on getting some extra rewards from a Curve or eg One4All purchase.

Nothing, including Curve, has tracked on Airtime for me. For all intents and purposes it is dead.

You can purchase gift cards and use any card, Curve, Revolut etc etc, and they always track as long as the card is linked to your Airtime account. Buying gift cards don’t come with the same ridiculous restrictions.

Curve has been an *official exclusion* according to the Ts & Cs on Airtime Rewards for a while now… but I’ve had everything track on Curve, subject a few delays, most recently a week ago

You may need to de-link/re-link your card and/or request retro credit, but should work
