    Hi all

I’m flying with my other half from Auckland via Singapore to Phuket this Sunday (12 Jan). Booked two Premium Economy seats back in February, and put a “one-up” bid at the same time for NZ$1,500 which equates to c£750, or £375 per person. Sat back and waited.

Last night the App informed me (no email) that it had been accepted: about 60 hours before the flight. It only applies to the AKL to SIN sector as the connecting Air Singapore flight is Economy only, but only 90 mins.

£375 each for lounge access and then a flat bed and unlimited champagne for 10.5 hours feels like a bargain!

Well done! We’ve put in many bids over the years and were never successful. Had a failed bid from PE to business when had Gold status with AirNZ. I complained to flight manager on board as there were empty seats in business. He moved us forward and he also said we’d be ok for return flight. True to his word, when we got to check in, we were told unfortunately our seats had been changed. We had been moved to Business. Bid had not been accepted!

OH and I traveled from SCL to Rapa Nui with Latam in November on separate PNRs. Put in lowest bid for each flight to upgrade to business. My bid was accepted for return flight, OH wasn’t. I put in the lowest bid they would accept. I had flat bed, OH wasn’t down the back. $140 for more than 5 hours. I thought I’d done well.
