Apologies for these questions, but I have Hilton Gold status off the back of Amex Platinum, not from booking hotels – so rather confused due to my lack of real life experience …
Plugging the dates in to book two rooms for a six night stay at the Hilton Hua Hin, I get an array of rates for each room. I thought that Gold status meant the fifth night was free, but this doesn’t appear to be the case for the prices offered (yes, I am searching whilst logged in). The quoted ‘Honors Discount’ rate appears regardless of the length of stay. Am I missing something?
Second question – I understand Gold also has free breakfast. Should I therefore book a rate shown for room only, and await my free breakfast confirmation? The quoted prices for rooms including breakfast also appear – but clearly not free on the website rate …
And does it make any difference to benefit collection if the room is booked as flexible or paid upfront with no cancellations?

It is five nights for four on redemption bookings only, not when paying cash.
You need to ensure you select breakfast as your “myway” benefit and you will then get free breakfast for two of you staying in one room (although you might get lucky and be given it for a family of four in two rooms). There is no confirmation of this on the booking but you’ll get it confirmed when checking in.
No difference whether prepaid rate or flexible as long as booked via Hilton and not a third party.
