Just wanted some clarity that a stay starting on the 31st March but ending on the 1st April still qualifies?

They are pretty strict about cut off dates IME – e.g. free night certs can’t be used for the night of the last day of validity.

Has anyone got double points on restaurant and bar spend? I queried this with IHG customer service after only getting double on the room rate and was told it wasn’t awarded on any spend other than room rate?

Just checking this is correct or have they told me something just to get rid of me?

The T&Cs don’t seem to rule out additional spend as far as I can see?

Just checked points for my last stay and they included the drink I had from the bar (and had charged to the room and paid for via the $20 room credit) in the points calculation for the basic and status points and the double points offer just picked up the points from that calculation.

Thanks for confirming Chris. I’ll get back on to customer services. I’m getting frustrated with them if I’m honest 🙂

I’ve had four transactions: two were next-day, one was two days and one was ten days (!)

The double points did post from a stay on 31st March with a 1st April checkout.

So took me over the 55k Spire threshold.
