I’ve got “spend £800, get £150 back” on my ARCC.

I don’t suppose anyone has had the credit on flights from non-UK airports? I know that this is against the terms, but you never know!
So for flights it never works because Amex get second level data which has the actual flights. But never know might be badly coded at Amex’s side.
Random one! I’ve got this exact offer and I’ve also got some Virgin flights already booked for end October..
Anybody know if I cancel these, immediately put the rewards flights on hold for 72 hours and then ring up to book them again, I would get the £250 back? Seems a relatively small amount of time for the £250 gain!!
Thanks
