I received what I thought was a targeted email about 20% reward night discount for Creation credit cardholders. HfP ran an article too (I can’t now find the link to the comments section incidentally, so I can’t see if there are any latest comments). I booked according to the t&cs and I should have saved about 40k points. I have been querying this with ihgrewards@ihg.com and they are insisting that the offer does not apply to me. This is their email: ‘I’ve coordinated with our Support Team and they confirmed that Creation credit cardholders don’t have 20% discount on Reward Night benefit/promotion. They clarified that this offer is only for Chase credit cardholders, which is why no discount was shown online when you booked your stay.’
Has anyone else had a problem? I’d like to save 40k points if I can.
Is this more recent that the one a few weeks back?
IHG Rewards cardholders can get a 20% discount on reward nights when booking stays of three consecutive nights or less. To be eligible for the discount, cardholders must book stays at participating hotels by April 5, 2022, and start their stay by May 25, 2022.
It’s the same one. I booked exactly as the t&cs required!
This is why I always take screenshots of offers.
I have had IHG customer service straight up deny any knowledge of at least two previous offers.
Did it show the discount when you booked?
