I’ve just cashed in some club card points for hotel.com vouchers to take advantage of the x3 multiple available until 13 June whereupon it drops to x2. Vouchers taken now have been extended to a 12mth expiry.
Hopefully this is a useful reminder for some.
Do you know if you can use multiple vouchers per booking. I want to cash in the last of my clubcard points but don’t want to lose the excess if my voucher is larger than my room price. I thought multiple smaller vouchers would work. Anyone know for sure?
Managed to answer myself. T&C’s say only one voucher per booking.
Yes, but you can make separate bookings on hotels.com to circumvent this, say 2 nights at the time or one night a time.
Thanks for the reminder! I thought I’d have to book when I got the vouchers, but can I get £50 vouchers (worth £150) and just use them within a year?

Yes. To soften the blow moving from x3 to x2 they have extended the expiry from 6mths to 12mths until the 13th
Cashed out. Got enough for one last very nice redemption and another average/shorter redemption. Plus some change to use at PizzaExpress.
Feel quite sad about it; maximising Clubcard points has been a hobby for so long, but just not enough potential value in it any more. Will still collect bits and bobs but I doubt it’ll add up to more than a meal out every so often now.
On the plus side, I am appreciating the better quality from Sainsburys currently. Might even give Waitrose delivery a try once my Nectar balance is depleted.
Reports deadline for exchanging now extended to 11.59pm Thurs 15 June (Martin Lewis)
Is it 12 months to use the voucher or 12 months to complete the stay booked using the voucher ?

I can’t see this eventuality covered in the T&C’s but the vouchers are for ‘pay now’ stays only (i.e. not pay at the hotel). I can’t see how Tesco would know, or the hotel care, if you were booking within the 12mth expiration for a date(s) outside of this.
Just my opinion, but a risk I would be willing to take if I couldn’t be sure of a stay within 12mths. You still have a couple of days because of the extension to message Tesco to get an official answer before 3x becomes 2x.
