I never got the credit and Amex is pretending the entire episode is a figment of my imagination.
Try calling back. I spoke to someone yesterday as mine didn’t track either and he was able to find it.

I have the attached screenshot showing it redeemed in my account.
I had to jump through hoops to get it though. They claimed I saved the offer AFTER I had made the transaction – it was difficult to establish who was right as we were working on at least 3 different time zones all of which had changed to daylight saving between me making the transaction and disputing the lack of offer!
I persisted and they eventually relented. Good luck.
