Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Sainsbury’s and Nectar

In January 2021, Avios dropped its long-standing partnership with Tesco and agreed a new deal with Sainsbury’s.

As part of this, Nectar points and Avios became interchangeable.  400 Nectar points become 250 Avios, whilst 400 Avios become 400 Nectar points.

As a Nectar point is worth 0.5p when spent in Sainsbury’s or Argos, your Avios now have a minimum value of 0.5p each.

The articles below explain the partnership in detail as well as explaining how you can earn and spend Nectar points.

Our review of the Nectar American Express credit card is here and you can apply here.
