New £50-£75 American Express and Hilton hotel cashback offers launched
Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission. See here for all partner links.
American Express has launched a new cashback deal with Hilton, covering hotels in Europe and random spots elsewhere!
If you’re lucky, you may have an offer giving you £75 back. This offer is normally capped at £50, albeit the £75 version has a higher spend.
This is excellent timing, given the special offer currently running on the basic Hilton Honors Debit Card – click to read.
If you sign up for one of the two new Hilton Honors Debit Cards you will receive Silver or Gold elite status in Hilton Honors, which will work nicely with any stay you book around this cashback deal.

If you are targetted for the cashback, you will see the deal on the ‘Offers’ page of one or more of your Amex cards on the app or website. Don’t waste your time checking your Marriott Bonvoy Amex however ….
Here are the two versions of the deal:
- You receive £50 cashback when you spend £200 on your card with Hilton by 4th July
- You receive £75 cashback when you spend £300 on your card with Hilton by 4th July
The rules confirm that cumulative spend counts – you don’t need to do the £200 or £300 in one transaction.
There are a huge number of UK hotels listed, along with hotels in Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Botswana, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, the Netherlands, Poland, Saudi Arabia, the Seychelles, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE, USA and Zambia.
There is a PDF here showing which hotels are taking part.
The list is NOT in alphabetical order by country. It is split into three sections by broad geographic area.
Existing bookings are fine as long as long as they are not already pre-paid. There is no need to rebook anything.
The offer rules say that only checkout spend counts. Looking at the comments below, Hilton MAY have tightened up on this a bit – with most of these cashback offers it makes no difference. It’s up to you if you decide to give it a go.
This offer stacks with the current Hilton promotion
Don’t forget to register for Hilton’s current promotion if you are planning a stay.
Hilton Honors is offering double base points on every stay by 30th April 2025.
You can register here. Our full article on the current Hilton promotion is here.

Don’t forget the new Hilton debit cards!
Your discounted Hilton stay could be a good excuse to take out one of the two new Hilton Honors Debit Cards
The premium card (£150 fee) comes with Hilton Honors Gold status, which gets you free breakfast for two people on every stay – or a daily food and drink cash credit in the US. You’d also get an 80% bonus on the base points earned.
The basic card is currently half price – just £30 for your first year. This comes with Hilton Honors Silver status, which admittedly has few guaranteed benefits (no free breakfast for a start).
You would also earn 3 or 4.5 Hilton Honors points, depending on card, when you pay at a Hilton hotel outside the UK – and pay 0.5% or 0% in FX fees, depending on card. If you are paying at checkout, nothing stops you paying just over £200 (to trigger the Amex cashback) on your Amex card and then paying the balance with a Hilton Honors Debit Card.
You can learn about the debit cards, including the special offer on the basic card, in our article here.

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards (April 2025)
There are various ways of earning Hilton Honors points from UK credit and debit cards. Many cards also have generous sign-up bonuses.
There are two dedicated Hilton Honors debit cards. These are especially attractive when spending abroad due to the 0% or 0.5% FX fee, depending on card.
You also receive FREE Hilton Honors status for as long as you hold the debit cards – Gold status with the Plus card and Silver status with the basic card. This is a great reason to apply even if you rarely use it.
We reviewed the Hilton Honors Plus Debit Card here and the Hilton Honors Debit Card here.
You can apply for either card here.
SPECIAL OFFER: Until 30th April 2025, the annual fee on the basic Hilton Honors debit card is halved from £60 to £30. The sign-up bonus is also easier to earn – you need to spend £1,000 either in the UK or abroad within three months. The usual bonus rule requires you to spend the full £1,000 outside the UK.
