The aim of this feature is to summarise flight, hotel and points offers that are ending soon.  Everything listed below has been covered on HfP in recent weeks, but years of experience of running offers for HfP readers has made it very clear that a large proportion like to leave things to the last minute ….

Here are registration links for the current hotel promotions from the major chains:

  • Hilton Honors – earn double base points on all cash stays, or on F&B spend on reward stays, from 1st January to 30th April 2025 – register here
  • IHG One Rewards – earn double base points on all cash stays, starting with your second stay, from 1st January to 31st March 2025 – register here
  • World of Hyatt – earn double base points on all stays (triple points at Hyatt House and Hyatt Place) from 27th January to 28th March 2025 – register here

    Is the IHG buy points bonus targeted to certain account holders only? I created an account with them last month but no offer at all when on the buy points page.

    Tuesday 28 January is last day to book in the British Airways, admittedly unexciting, sale.
    And on that note, I used to be able to pick up LHR-SEA for about £1,600 return in Club. Now it’s more like £2,300, an almost 50% increase. Together with the new tier point rules, there seems to be a clear strategy here: Pull back and focus on the price insensitive flyers, leave the rest to somebody else.

    Is there an end date for matching hotel status to RJ Silver Jay? Think the top level date has been and gone, but matching IHG silver to RJ silver still seems active

    Marriott’s double nights promo sadly seems to have not materialised this year. Normally useful for getting me to Titanium again by April!

      It is coming, it seems. There was apparently a leak (in Mandarin) onto the Marriott Chinese website which was swiftly removed. It always started mid to late February, never January.

        Oh brilliant – thanks, Rob! That’s great to know… I should still be on the road enough to take advantage again. Not sure why I had it in my head that it ran earlier. Seems the first one was Feb 7th to Apr 23 which is always a good time of year for me (working from somewhere warmer in Asia, where there are plenty of cheap, decent Marriott options too).
