Good £49 per night deal at Hampton by Hilton Torquay hotel until 31st March

Secret Escapes is currently running an attractive deal for the Hampton by Hilton hotel in Torquay.

Whilst the weather won’t be the greatest in the next three months, it is definitely an attractive price if you fancy a quite couple of nights away.

The hotel is relatively new with the only downside being that it has no parking.

Hampton Torquay hotel deal

The price for a standard room with breakfast is £49 per night. Some nights are higher but the majority of dates up to 31st March are £49.

This includes a £6 drinks voucher (one per stay, not per night).

‘View’ rooms are available at a surcharge.

There is also an option to pay an extra £40 per night for a £50 credit towards dinner. This only makes sense if two of you stay because the small print says the credit is actually £25 per person and not £50 per room.

Because you are booking via Secret Escapes you will NOT earn Hilton Honors points and your status benefits will not be recognised, although those aren’t worth much at a Hampton anyway.

You can find out more, and book, on Secret Escapes here although you need to register (free) to see full details.

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards (April 2025)

There are various ways of earning Hilton Honors points from UK credit and debit cards.  Many cards also have generous sign-up bonuses.

There are two dedicated Hilton Honors debit cards. These are especially attractive when spending abroad due to the 0% or 0.5% FX fee, depending on card.

You also receive FREE Hilton Honors status for as long as you hold the debit cards – Gold status with the Plus card and Silver status with the basic card. This is a great reason to apply even if you rarely use it.

3 random checks in Jan ,Feb,Mar shows £53,54,£57 p.n. on hilton, all of which provide breakfast. So for £4-£8 more, you can get points/night credit. Might be useful way of getting some cheap night credits. No mention of a drinks voucher mind you.

What do you expect to see from a Torquay hotel bedroom window, the hanging gardens of Babylon?

  • Simon Schus says:

There is a very nice Mediterranean restaurant underneath called Ephesus, and a lovely understated cafe bar called The Dock about 1 minute walk away towards the harbour (none are fine dining- you’ve got the Elephant for that which is a few minutes walk too but not a big fan). I am not a big fan of Torquay generally but visit a couple of times a year to see relatives who live nearby. I saw this hotel at GBP49 when booking direct a couple of times off-season last year. Rooms are good and clean for Hampton Inn, staff lovely. Just… it’s Torquay.

From memory, there is also a dinosaur statue on the opposite side of the road.
