Join a viewing party for the US Grand Prix with your Marriott points
Marriott Bonvoy has teamed up with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 team to run an event in conjunction with the US Grand Prix on Sunday 20th October.
(EDIT: we’d sold this out by 7am, sorry)
To quote:
“You will attend a race support and strategy session with a race support engineer and enjoy arrival drinks and a complimentary dinner buffet during pre-race preparations. Then, tour the facility before watching the race live from the theatre within the Silver Arrows Lounge.”
Note that the race starts at 8pm BST so it will be a late finish to your day.
The price is a very reasonable 40,000 Marriott Bonvoy points, which we’d value at £200 based on our 0.5p per point target. This is for two people.
You must by 12 years or older to attend. No transportation or accommodation is included.

Derry to gain a DoubleTree hotel
The Belfast Telegraph reports that The City Hotel in Derry is to become a DoubleTree by Hilton following a £7m refurbishment.
The work will start in November and the owners believe that it can be completed by summer 2025.
