Aer Lingus has launched a sale on its direct routes from Manchester to the US:
- New York (daily, year round)
- Orlando (daily, year round)
- Barbados (seasonal)
You can get £200 off Business Class transatlantic fares departing from Manchester.

You can also get £100 off Economy transatlantic flights from Manchester.
See here for Rhys’ positive review of the Aer Lingus Barbados flight in Business Class.
If your US flight shows it is operating on an Airbus A321LR aircraft – a single aisle plane – you need my review of an Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to New York. The seat works well and the layout is good for solo travellers – especially if you can get a ‘throne’ seat – as well as couples and family groups. However, in theory the Manchester flights are all on A330 aircraft at present.
The sale rules are:
- book by 18th March
- travel between 1st April and 30th September 2024 (New York and Orlando)
- travel between 1st April and 31st May, and between 1st November and 31st December (Barbados)

Headline Economy fares are:
- New York JFK – £336
- Orlando – £336
- Barbados – £491
Business Class sample prices were not highlighted online but I found Manchester to New York for £1,567 return (the £200 discount is included in this price) which is good for the current market.
Importantly, Business Class tickets appear to be refundable for a fee of 15% of the fare paid plus an administration fee.
As a reminder, Aer Lingus flights earn Avios in AerClub (Aer Lingus’ loyalty programme) at the rate of 3 per €1 or 4 per £1 spent. This is based on the cash price of your flight, excluding Government taxes. You can see a detailed guide on earning Avios with Aer Lingus in this article here.
In my past experience you will not earn Avios if you credit these sale flights to British Airways Executive Club because they are not in qualifying ticket buckets.
Go to this page on the Aer Lingus website to check prices and book.
