Reader Anne dropped me a note about the great value currently available via Hilton Honors for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix next year.

There are now three Hilton Honors property on Yas Island – a Hilton, a DoubleTree and the Warner Bros-branded Curio.

Here is the current pricing for five nights from Thursday 23rd November to Tuesday 28th November. The Grand Prix itself is Sunday 26th, but you might as well stay for five nights given that Hilton offers ‘5-4-4’ on redemptions if you have elite status.

Great value Hilton Honors redemption for Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
  • The WB Abu Dhabi (photo above) – 240,000 points or Dhs 20,226 (£4,455) = 1.85p per point!

These are astonishing results given that our target value for a Hilton Honors point is 0.33p.

These redemption rooms are non-refundable – be aware.

However, the cash rates are also non-refundable for the same period. Hilton and The WB include, says Anne, one theme park ticket per person per night. She added that all three hotels are within a realistic walking distance of the Grand Prix circuit.

Clearly this isn’t as good as the W hotel, which is built OVER the circuit and which will pop up as a Marriott Bonvoy redemption at some point, but these hotels offer a decent alternative.
