It is a busy week at Hilton, with four new European hotels opening. These are all worth considering if you have any trips lined up, partly because new hotels tend to price more aggressively and partly because you can be sure everything will be new and shiny when you arrive.

The new openings are:

ParisHotel Camille Paris Gare de Lyon, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Located near Bastille, this is the first Tapestry Collection property in France. Tapestry is effectively the four-star version of Hilton’s Curio Collection, allowing independent hotels to join the brand without sacrificing their uniqueness.

Canopy Hotel Madrid

MadridCanopy by Hilton Madrid Castellana (image below)

Whilst the Canopy brand is about to arrive in London’s Aldgate, Madrid has got in first. This hotel is loted near the Real Madrid stadium. Whilst this is not Hilton’s brand description, Canopy is basically a Moxy / Aloft style hotel for people with a lot more money to spend. You don’t usually see food trucks inside Hilton hotels, for example.

BarcelonaHampton by Hilton Barcelona Fira Gran Via

This hotel is in south west Barcelona. It is described as a 15 minute taxi ride from La Rambla so there is clearly some trade off in location vs price. As with all Hampton properties, breakfast is free.

BrusselsDoubleTree by Hilton Brussels City

This is situated overlooking Place Rogier and the Botanical Gardens, if you know how Brussels is laid out.
