New spend bonus for American Express Business Platinum cardholders

Amex has quietly launched a new spend bonus for some people with American Express Business Platinum. There are no reports so far of it appearing on Business Gold but we don’t know for definite if it is excluded.
I received ‘get 4,000 bonus points for spending £4,000 by 16th November’.
There is at least one other version of 12,000 bonus points for spending £12,000 by 16th November.

As long as you can hit the target, you would be earning 2 Membership Rewards points per £1 on this chunk of spend. Whatever other cards you have, you won’t beat this rate.
To check what offer you have, if any, you need to log in to your Amex online account or look at the app and check the ‘Offers’ tab on your Business Platinum statement page.
The issue is whether you can hit the spend target or not. You may end up worse off if you divert spend from other cards to Business Platinum and then don’t hit trigger the bonus points.
Our review of American Express Business Platinum is here. It has a generous 40,000 points sign-up bonus but, at present, this is soundly beaten by the 60,000 points (=60,000 Avios) offered on the personal Amex Platinum card.
This HfP article looks at the differences between The Platinum Card for personal Amex customers and American Express Business Platinum.
