  The Australian approach as outlined in an earlier article would pay dividends. This doesn’t tally with economic considerations.
  I’m currently in Lagos Portugal and have been here for a month. Everyone adheres to mask wearing where needed and have never seen a mask below the nose. Understand that Portugal’s infection rate is relatively low and yet it remains on quarantine list. Go figure.

    I’m in Vilamoura at the moment and it’s like a ghost town. Usually full of golfers and holidaymakers (it’s been 25 degrees for the last few day). Most of the shops and bars are still open though. Breaks my heart to see it like this
    As an aside you will not get into any shop without a mask on, none of these silly excuses allowed over her. You’ll be escorted out before you can say “but I’m exempt”

  Can anyone who has actually flown out to The Seychelles let us know :
  1. Where did you get a PCR test within 48 hours of outbound flight time? This seems a very tight timescale and I am having difficulty find a laboratory in London who will provide approved results (which then need to be emailed to Seychelles health authority for them to issue a Health Travel Authorization -eating in to the 48 hours…)

  2. On arrival how was the 5 day ‘isolation’ in an approved hotel? Could you move around the hotel etc.

    We used Assured Screening for our tests for St. Lucia. Took the test at 3pm, posted it at 4pm, had the result e-mailed to us at 7pm the next day. It was about £113 with postage.

    Are you going on a package? After I bought our tests Tui did a deal with a lab to do £80 guaranteed tests, so check your tour operator if you are. Good luck!
