  • You must stay by 23rd November
  • Valid at participating hotels

What hotels are ‘participating’?

Not many, unfortunately. However, they are all very high end and you’re in for a treat with your free £400.

I live in London. This is pointless for me.

No it isn’t. Assuming that you simply don’t just fancy a change of scene, how about this?

Book the cheapest room you can find, and then spend the difference up to £400 in the hotel restaurant and bar. Go home at night if you must, then pop back to check out the next day.

Think of all the Marriott Bonvoy points you’ll earn as well.

There are numerous non-UK options too although only two German hotels are outside the UK quarantine rules.

      Seriously FOMO inducing this offer. Doesn’t really seem fair to give some members who pay the same card fee as us a £400 gift and we get nothing.

    Is the W Leicester Square fancy enough for Emyr?
    Can’t find it on FHR to have special offers for or is this one hotel where it’s better just booking direct? Also, Is there a risk that the hotel will take a deposit in advance so when you check out it actually isn’t £400? My wife had this issue with the Amex crowne plaza offer recently (her fault for not changing the default card in the app)

    Cheers, booked the £488 Quintessential package at the Langley. $100 spa/bar credit, bottle of champagne in room on arrival and full breakfast in the morning for a net of £88. Can’t go far wrong!

      That’s London hotel rooms though. Just get 2 connecting instead. Book via Emyr and he will ring the hotel on the day to ensure you’ve been properly blocked in.

    I haven’t read all the comments as I don’t currently have Platinum but re the Langley:
    It’s not even opening until the end of November, by all accounts, and it’s a bit rich giving free stays away when they are chasing up people with long standing bookings for a few thousand extra points!

    The Langley now seems sold out of all its cheapest rooms for the only weekend this offer is valid… you now have to book a suite minimum…

      2000 people with an offer to use by 21st November and they only open on the 14th.

      I have a feeling they won’t open by then so I’d have a back up plan!

        Yes, I booked Langley for mid-week for £446 (Quintessential rate) and also booked Faboulous Room at W London for £455 all in rate (breakfast, lunch, dinner) as a backup. Hope Marriott runs a new double/triple points promo at the time.

        Briefly thought about Tenerife and Berlin, but Tenerife would involve more costs (not bothered by self-isolation as have a garden and no problems with deliveries) and I got a really good deal for early May bank holiday in Berlin on IHG points, so keeping that.
