IHG Rewards Club is offering a bonus on bonus points

One of the easiest ways to earn elite status with IHG Rewards Club is to book ‘bonus points packages’. These packages allow you to buy additional points for a small cost increase per night.
Crucially, these bonus points are elite status qualifying – you can read more about how this works in this article.
IHG is now offering an additional bonus on these bonus points packages, which is a little confusing! When you book a Bonus Points Package at Hotel Indigo, Crowne Plaza or EVEN Hotels you will get an additional bonus that doubles the ‘standard’ bonus points.
The bonus-bonus points are NOT status qualifying, although the standard bonus points are. This is how it works out:
base points (status qualifying) + ‘bonus points package’ bonus (status qualifying) + 100% bonus on bonus points (not status qualifying).
To qualify for the double bonus you must book by 4th September 2019, and stay before 4th October 2019.
