The Malaysia Airlines Amex offer does not work. There have been several reports to that effect, and it was my experience trying several browsers.

    • 3742 says:

That was meant to be an individual comment, not a reply to the above one.

      • Ed says:

Yeah, I tried to get it to work but couldn’t. The website does register the code though as it forced me to pay with only an amex, the price of the flights just remained the same.

      • Rob says:

Weird, because I even got an email from Amex promoting it! The 10% one works, albeit only on base fare so less impact on economy tickets.

  • Tony Boyton says:

Off Topic, any advice is gratefully received. On a trip in August and we will be flying from Heathrow to Stockholm, Qatar and Singapore. My Wife wants to stock up on skin care … where would be the best place to buy it … thanks in advance

    • Shoestring says:

definitely Singapore, probably cheaper in the city than DF but you’d have to check on that

    • Harry T says:

You can buy a huge array of western and Asian skincare products in Singapore, including at Changi. The Asian sun screen is particularly good – Biore, aneesa etc

  • Daniel says:

Just received my IHG Ambassador renewal notice.

$200 + 15,000 points back, as you would expect, it seems there is no $150 renewal option in the new scheme.

I would normally have paid the higher anyway for the points back, except this renewal offer is the same as the current ‘special’ joining offer. Knowing how profligate IHG usually are with these things, I can’t see any reason to renew until I have definite Intercontinental travel plans.

    bye bye IHG…..

    • meta says:

I think this is the offer most of us who are not ambassadors have been receiving. It is not a renewal notice. My partner received the email as well despite being six months away from renewal.

    • Lyn says:

You also usually get 10% off points used for redemptions when you renew, but not when you join. This can be really useful.
