British Airways replaces its dire Bordeaux airport lounge

British Airways now has access to a new lounge in Bordeaux.
Credit where credit is due. British Airways has been making a serious effort over the last year to add extra lounges to its European network.
In Spring they added:
- Innsbruck
- Seville
- Ibiza
- Porto
- Reykjavik
What I didn’t realise until this weekend – when a reader sent me the photograph below – is that British Airways is now allowing passengers to use the new airport-run lounge in Bordeaux.
The old lounge in Bordeaux was a joke. So bad, in fact, that at times BA would hand out airport refreshment vouchers rather than subject passengers to using it. To call it a cupboard would be offensive to large, expensive cupboards. Those days are over.
The photo above is of the fairly new InterContinental Bordeaux. Here is Anika’s review.

Our campaign continues though. These airports have a lounge which BA won’t pay for but you can use a Priority Pass instead:
- Lanzarote ACE
- Catania/Fontanarossa CTA
- Madeira FNC
- Heraklion International Nikos Kazantzakis HER
- Humberside HUY
- Mykonos JMK
- Olbia/Costa Smeralda OLB
- Palermo/Punta Raisi PMO (landside)
- Paphos International PFO
- Thessaloniki Macedonia International SKG (as of 1st July 2017)
- Split SPU
- Rhodes – Diagoras International RHU
- Tallinn TLL
These airports have a lounge which BA won’t pay for and which only accept cash, not Priority Pass / Lounge Club:
- Brindisi/Casale BDS
- Bari/Palese International BRI
- Cagliari CAG
- Dalaman International DLM
- London City Airport LCY (in the Private Jet Terminal)
There are also a lot of European airports which simply do not have a Business Lounge, but you can’t blame BA for that ….
