Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Important dates for your diary – offers about to close which you shouldn’t miss (Aug 2018)

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

Here is the latest edition of our regular feature which summarises offers that are ending soon.

It pulls together the different deals mentioned on our Top Avios Points Earning Offers, Top Hotel Bonus Points Offers and Top UK Credit Card Offers pages.

Most of these offers are bonus points linked to hotel stays.  I think Avios has gone quiet whilst the migration of Avios Travel Rewards Programme accounts to British Airways Executive Club is competed.

Miles and points offers which are about to close

The few Avios promotions which are ending soon include the Charles Tyrwhitt discount code (which also earns you 4 Avios per £1) and – for Irish readers – the 50% Aer Lingus AerClub bonus with SuperValu.  Next Friday is also the last chance to lock in hotel bookings via Kaligo.com to earn up to 20,000 bonus Avios.

    Hi

Does anyone know if the Heathrow rewards 3000 bonus points for £150 spend in one day includes heathrow parking purchased through the Heathrow rewards app ?

    Thanks

    • MarkZ says:

Having quickly reviewed the HfP article, the linked Avios page, and the Ts and Cs, I can’t see why not. However, if you are wary of using the app, then use the web browser on your smartphone instead. Login to your Heathrow Rewards account first, find the section about Heathrow car parking, then go through the process of purchasing. You will end up on the Heathrow Airport web site, but the transaction will have been tracked by Heathrow Rewards.

    • MarkZ says:

Be aware that the transaction will not appear on your Heathrow Rewards account until a few days after you physically pass through the barrier of your chosen car park.

      • Nick says:

So the parking I need to buy is for next summer – so if the transaction won’t appear till next summer and the promotion ends in December then the purchase won’t be eligible for the bonus points ?

  • pommy ray says:

radisson sale ends on 26 August for stays in December and January. upto 40% off they claim.

  • Lady London says:

For those who did the Irish Independent offer about a year ago if you didn’t cancel the auto-renew they apparently had on it. you’ll find they are now charging you monthly. I thought I had stated no auto-renew when I purchased. But got an extra monthly charge this month.

OT: Do people still get referral points when self referring for another AMEX card?
