The outstanding hotel promotion about the moment is the one that Hilton Honors had launched in conjunction with Lufthansa’s Miles & More programme.

Hilton Honors is offering a very generous 2,500 Lufthansa Miles & More miles on every stay between 1st August and 31st October.  I would value the miles at £25 if you use them for long-haul Business or First Class redemptions.

You need to register here.

Hilton will work from your ‘Preferred Travel Partners’ list in your Hilton Honors profile.  Make sure that your Miles & More account is on that list and, importantly, set to ‘Preferred’.

Two points have come up in recent days which I wanted to share:

When the offer launched, it was not clear if it would trigger on reward stays.  It is now clear that IT DOES NOT.  You will only get the 2,500 miles on cash stays.

It is also important to check that the correct airline partner shows on your invoice at check-out.  If it doesn’t, keep an eye on your Hilton account as you may need to retro-claim the miles.  This is most likely to happen if you made your booking before registering for the offer.

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards (April 2025)

There are various ways of earning Hilton Honors points from UK credit and debit cards.  Many cards also have generous sign-up bonuses.

There are two dedicated Hilton Honors debit cards. These are especially attractive when spending abroad due to the 0% or 0.5% FX fee, depending on card.

You also receive FREE Hilton Honors status for as long as you hold the debit cards – Gold status with the Plus card and Silver status with the basic card. This is a great reason to apply even if you rarely use it.

We reviewed the Hilton Honors Plus Debit Card here and the Hilton Honors Debit Card here.

You can apply for either card here.
